Pan Shixun, born in Jilin Province in 1934, enrolled in the department of Oil Painting of China Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1955, studied from Wu Zuoren, Dong Xiwen, Ai Zhongxin, etc. He graduated from Wu Zuoren’s studio and stayed for teaching. In 1984 he pursued the further study in Beaux-Arts De Paris. He served as the professor and the director of Oil Painting Department of BEAUX-ARTS DE PARIS. Currently he is the member of Chinese Artists Association, member of council of China Oil Painting Society. His works were exhibited in the “National Fine Arts Exhibition” eight times (from 1964 to 1989); the “1st China Oil Painting Exhibition”, “The Centennial Exhibition of China Portrait Oil Painting ”, 1997, etc.
